Safety & Concerns

Camps in the outdoors provide unlimited fun and learning. But with this comes greater responsibility from our end to make camps physically and emotionally safe.

All adventure programs at the Outdoor School are built around the participants and aim at providing a safe environment for them, to feel both physically and emotionally comfortable and form an open platform for learning, experiencing and expressing!

I loved every bit of Camp! Is was the greatest summer I ever had! Waiting to be back soon!! Read more!

Program Design : All programs and camps are built around the participants and we strive to make them feel safe, happy and HAVE FUN. Activities are not highly rigorous and do not demand very high levels of fitness but do bring along a positive attitude, willingness to try in the face of difficult challenges, a desire to learn and interact with the group and a spirit of co-operation.

Group size and Escorts: Our group size is small thus ensuring personal monitoring of each participant. The Student to escort ratio is 5:1.

Campsite Location: Camp Locations are ECO havens. Amazing green locations surrouned by pristine nature and clean environment is what a camp provides you. As a forest rule we never camp inside forests. Also at any camping site, a small group of patrollers are awake at night in rotation to keep a watch.

Medical facility: We have a list of all medical centers close to camp. We also carry basic first aid on the camp and all our instructors are trained in basic first aid.All our adventure personals are trained in Basic First Aid courses. During the Camps first aid kits are carried and the trainers are trained to give basic first aid immediately.

Equipment: All adventure gears and equipment are carried by the team. Our camping gears ensure that the participants are warm during the night. All equipments are checked and maintained regularly and are adventure certified

Food and Water: Food in the outdoors is served keeping in mind the calorie requirement of the participants. Since adventure sports is physically demanding the food we serve is highly nutritious and made in the best hygienic way possible. We also replenish energy by providing small snacks in between activities.
Food provided is vegetarian, fresh and wholesome keeping in mind the calorie requirement of the activities. Enough supply of clean drinking water is also carried.

Faculty Interaction: Personal space is highly priced for each individual and every instructor works from the perspective that each child needs his/her space. Faculty do not get physical with children and children n adult quarters are always different.

Girls-Boys Quarters: While camping, tents/dorms/rooms of boys n girls n kept apart. They occupy separate areas of accommodation.

Emotional Environment: Though all kids come to camp to have fun and enjoy, doing it at the expense of others feelings is a definite NO NO. Ragging others, bullying and hurting others feeling is definitely not acceptable at camp. We take up these issues at the common Circle Time at regular intervals, setting codes and making children aware of their feelings.

We take this very seriously and if the need be we will have to call upon the parents to come and take his/her child back home. For us every child's feelings are important and tolerance to hurting others is low.
